Toulouse wants to help
far so good
Pockets and Sedition began during the peak of the Covid-19 crisis in 2020 when I used my additional time at home to make scrubs for the fantastic charity 'ScrubHub'. I realised two things: first, that I was very happy working at home, sewing away on my own. Secondly, that scrubs have amazing pockets! Why don't all trousers have pockets big enough to, you know, put things in?!
I had been making comfy cotton trousers as presents for friends over the past year and the number one bit of feedback I would get was "we want bigger pockets". Let's be honest, it's one of the first things we notice about an outfit! #thanksithaspockets
It seemed ridiculous that functional pockets should be such a novelty in women's clothing so my trusty sidekick/fiancé Sam and I set about to change all that!
We pick bright, bold fabrics in natural materials and every outfit is designed to be comfortable and flattering with pockets big enough to spread sedition. Or keep your phone, whatever.
We provide a fun alternative to fast fashion and can't wait to see where this takes us!
